Mercies in Disguise

Sometimes God's blessings aren't always apparent to us. Sometimes things don't work out the way we want them to because God has something better planned.

Blessings by Laura Story is an amazing song! It says "We doubt Your goodness. We doubt Your love. As if every promise from Your Word is not enough."

This song is very powerful for me. There have been times when I haven't trusted God the way I should have.

At the end of the song it says "What if my greatest disappointment or the aching of this life is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy?"

  1. What an amazing song and a perfect post! I truly believe some of God's greatest blessings have been through some of the most difficult and trying situations in my life. It isn't until much later that we appreciate the trials and all the blessings they bring us. It makes me think of Jonathan Thulin's song Architecture and the lyrics that say, "If only I could see it from Your perspective, The beauty and the grace of Your architecture." If we could see through the trials to where God is taking us and the beauty he is building within us, it would be so much easier to take the difficult times. We just have to trust Him.

  2. I agree! We sometimes forget that we can't see the big picture, and that what we can see isn't all there is. Or at least I do! This is now one of my top 10 favorite worship songs.
I haven't heard Architecture. I'll have to give it a listen. Thanks!
