God is Still Here

In church last week, Pastor said something that's really stuck with me.

"God's not asleep. God's not dead. God didn't leave town!"

I loved this so much, I wrote it down so that I could add it to my Musings.

Matthew 28:19-20 - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Deuteronomy 31:6 - Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

God does not leave us. Humans sometimes choose to walk away from God, but He is always there. He will not leave. He does not tire. He does not sleep. He will never die. God will always be here for those who believe in Him.

Even when it seems like we aren't getting the answer to our prayers, we must remember that God does listen to us. Only His timing is perfect, so sometimes we have to wait, but that doesn't mean He has forgotten us.
