Declaration Five

The point of the 8 Declarations is that we have to be careful of our words and speak only ones that bring life.

Declaration 5: I declare that I will be grateful for who God is.

It is important to not get so caught up in the wonders of the blessings God gives us that we forget to be grateful just for the wonder of who God is.

Psalm 147:7 - Sing to the Lord with grateful praise; make music to our God on the harp.

Jonah 2:9 - But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, 'Salvation comes from the Lord.'


Declare first that you will serve God; follow through on this promise. "Make good" your vows. Then, make the first 5 declarations. Speak these things aloud so that it will travel from your lips to God's ear.
