"Don't Look Down!"

I was watching a movie (Follow Me, Boys) when this phrase appeared: "Don't Look Down." It is used when people are walking over high bridges, climbing over fallen logs, scaling mountains, etc.

When I heard the phrase, I immediately connected it to the way we are facing spiritually. If we are looking down (at our feet, or toward the thing that frightens us), instead of up toward our Heavenly Father, or back (to where we used to be, or what we used to have), instead of forward to the future He has planned for us, we're not truly focused on Him.

Even if we are faced with a scary situation, we shouldn't "look down" at the situation. Rather, we should keep our focus on God, and we will make it through.
