John 14:23 - Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them."
We obey God's commandments and teachings because we love Him, not because we are forced. We all have the choice not to obey, but those who love the Lord will choose to follow His teachings.
It is love for God that drives the actions and behaviors of true Christians. It is a desire to please Him that causes us to give up a life of sin and worldly pleasure. It is the promise of eternity in His presence that keeps us on His path.
It is a choice.
