1 Timothy 4:7 says "Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly."
What does this mean?
I'm not sure I fully understand it. I think it means don't have anything to do with useless superstitions. An example would be carrying a "lucky" rabbit's foot.
I'm sure there are many more examples of old wives' tales and myths. I don't think it's wrong to hear them, as long as you recognize them for what they are. We shouldn't spread them around, though, or place our trust in them.
