Humility

Proverbs 22:4 - Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life.

Proverbs 18:12 - Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

Philipians 2:3 - Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Humility is the act of being humble. Humble is defined as "1) not proud or arrogant; modest 2) having a feeling of insignificance, inferiority, subservience, etc" (Dictionary).

When did humility start to become a bad thing? It seems like it has become something we don't want to be. Why?

We should want to be humble. Not only that, we should actively try to be humble. We should humble ourselves. Arrogance and pride will not bring us honor, and certainly won't bring us closer to God.
