If someone offends you, do not be angry, and be slow to cut them out of your life.
Proverbs 19:11 - A person's wisdom yields patience; it is to one's glory to overlook an offence.
Proverbs 15:1 - A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
If you feel you must cut ties with someone, be certain it is what God wants. I believe that sometimes He will direct us to have no more contact with people. However, often this decision is made in the anger of our own hearts. Rather, I believe He would prefer that we reconcile with those who have offended us, or those we have offended in our anger.
Matthew 5:23-24 - 'Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.'
In other words, we cannot offer our gifts to God while we still harbor unresolved feelings of anger, hurt, or conflict.
