Legendary

"I am convinced that the Gospels are not legends. I have read a great deal of legend & am quite clear...they are not the same sort of thing." - C.S. Lewis

This quote struck a chord in me, and I wanted to write this post.

How wonderful would it be if we strove to be like the legendary men and women of the Bible? If we modeled ourselves after true heroes instead of ones from legend? How much better could we be if we began to act with the courage, strength, faith, compassion, and love of those true heroes who put God first, stood for Him, and accomplished such great things?

I want to strive to do so. I want to act with faith, and love, and courage, and strength, as even Jesus did.

"Show me where my heroes lived the life I'm longing for." "Help me have the courage to be more than what I am."
