The trouble with stress is that it steals our joy. It consumes us until we can only think of the thing that's stressing us out. It causes doubts.
Everyone gets stressed from time to time. Currently, I'm taking a business class at my local community college. It's only been 2 years since I was in college, but I find that I am not used to doing homework anymore. So today was pretty stressful. I think I will normally be able to use the weekend to do homework so that I don't have to play catch up on Wednesdays.
There are many reasons for stress. Some are natural, and produce good results - deadlines, and the fight or flight response. Other scenarios can end in arguments, tears, or physical illness.
So, it's important to know how to deal with stress. There are many techniques to relieve it. The one that I have found most useful of late is reading my Bible. Seriously. Once I moved from the book of Acts to the 1st book of Kings, I find that I'm enjoying it a lot more. It's a wonderful stress reliever.
So, when you get stressed, take some time to do something just for you. Take a bubble bath. Read a chapter in a book. Read something from your favorite book of the Bible. I find that the Psalms can be very comforting and inspiring.

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint" (Isaiah 40:29-31).
