This is my verse of the day. To me, this verse is both warning against fear and encouraging trust in God. If we truly trust God, we won't be afraid.
I have not yet reached the place where I am without fear. I don't think a moment of fear means we don't trust God, so long as we can shake it off and remember that there is nothing to fear with God on our side. Some fear is a natural instinct. But deep fear is not. Fear that holds onto us and keeps us from doing things we are supposed to do is not instinct. In those situations we must remember that God is always with us, and there is nothing to fear.
