In Appreciation

October is Pastor appreciation month. It is a month we can dedicate to the celebration and appreciation of those who teach and lead us spiritually in the church. We can reflect on all they do to assist us, and to help us grow - individually and as a church.

Today the church honored our non-senior pastors and teachers with flowers and gifts.

Next week, we will be honoring the senior pastors. There will also be an appreciation dinner after church. What will your church be doing?

Even if something isn't organized, remember to appreciate your pastors. They do work very hard, and they're never off the clock!

"Now here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever desires to be an overseer [bishop, etc] desires a noble task. Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money..." (1 Timothy 3:1-3).

"Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other" (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13).
