Hello everyone!
Today I read Deuteronomy 11-13.
And in today's chapters, Moses reminds the Israelites of the blessings they will have if they continue to walk in obedience to God.
It was so straightforward. No guessing.
If you obey God, He'll take care of you.
If you disobey God, He will let you fall to your enemies.
So simple.
For them and for us.
And yet, when God sends us on a little detour, or when the enemy appears to be too strong, doubt creeps in, and it is very tempting to turn away from God. To try to do it ourselves. To trust in something or someone other than God.
And that, as we will soon see, is where God's people get into trouble.
As we so often do.
But there is always hope. We can turn back to God, apologize for disobedience, and He will set us on the correct path once more. Just as the Israelites did.
I hope you'll join me tomorrow when I read Deuteronomy 14-16.
