There is nothing more important than worshiping God and giving Him the glory in all that we do.
We sang this song in church and it stuck with me. I really had to share it. We do sing the chorus a little more upbeat, but I like this version too.
We have to praise and worship God when things are good and when they're bad. We have to remember that no matter what is happening in our lives, God is God, and He will always deserve our praise, and our worship.
We have to seek Him every day, and remember that serving Him is the highest calling and greatest honor that we will ever have.

"Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness" (Psalm 29:2).
"Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth" (Psalm 96:9).
Proverbs 14:22 - Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.
"Those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness."
If we plan our lives in a way that focuses on the good, that focuses on God, then we will not be led astray. We will find God's love, and His faithfulness and we will be blessed.
But "those who plot evil go astray."
If we let evil into our lives, even something that seems insignificant, we can be susceptible to its influence. Then, we too could be led astray.
I'm not really sure that's what that part means though. The first time I read this verse, I thought "Those who plot evil will be led away from God's influence." That's very sad.
I confess, it was really hard to find something to say about this verse, and I really don't have a lot to say about it, but I just really wanted to share this Proverb.
I hope it helps you in some way.
I love learning about new cultures. It makes me sad if I learn that a particular culture doesn't worship God, but I'm not going to go in and shout at them about it. Unless God asks me to.
My point is that learning about different cultures (or even religions) can give us a broader view of the world, so that we aren't caught unawares, or so that we don't become ignorant.
Ignorance can breed hate.
It is very important, I think, that we be firmly rooted in our own faith before we start learning about other religions. Once we are certain of who we are in God, we will be less likely to be swayed.
I think that an understanding of other cultures can be fun and interesting while helping us to grow and to stand firmer in our own faith.
Clothing can tell you a lot about a culture.
So can food. Food is my favorite part of any culture. Though I am a bit squeamish, and I do have limits, I'm getting a lot better about trying things outside of my comfort zone.
I think there are aspects of culture we can enjoy without ever touching on religion, but I think religion can be a big help in understanding a culture too.
We must be careful to be firmly rooted in our own faith is all, before learning about another religion.
Besides, if you're having a discussion with a person about religion, it's important to be respectful and calm, even if they don't agree with you about your belief in God. If you don't know anything about their culture or religion, it could be seriously frustrating for both of you. I also think it's important not to argue, or become angry. Anger doesn't solve anything.
